Spring Chick Cupcakes
I enjoy decorating cakes, but it often takes too long. I’ve started to prefer decorating cupcakes; they’re quicker, just as adorable, and help with portion control!
These delightful Spring Chick Cupcakes are easy to make and you’ll need the following ingredients:
- Yellow frosting
- Yellow sugar crystals
- Chocolate chips
- White frosting
- Orange frosting
- Toothpick
- Icing bag
- Round tip & Closed star tip
Start by icing the tops of the cupcakes smoothly with yellow frosting. You can sprinkle yellow sugar crystals over the frosting or dip the cupcakes directly into a plate of sugar crystals to coat them.
Next, take your chocolate chips and place them upside down for the eyes. Use a toothpick dipped in white frosting to add a small dot on each chocolate chip for added detail.
For the beak, use a round tip (or a leaf tip if you prefer). Squeeze a line of orange frosting where you want the beak to be, then pull upwards at the center to create a point.
Finally, use the closed star tip with yellow frosting to make little tufted feathers on top of each chick’s head.
Alternatively, you can use an orange candy for the beak instead!
There’s no wrong way to decorate these cupcakes; they’re simply adorable no matter how you do it!
