Green Velvet Cupcakes with Baileys Cream Cheese Frosting

Green Velvet Cupcakes

With St. Patrick’s Day approaching, we’re excited to present this delightful recipe that adds a festive twist to a classic green velvet cupcake.

(Makes 12 cupcakes)

Ingredients

Cupcakes:
  • 1 1/4 cups Flour
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Cocoa Powder
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1 Egg
  • 1/2 cup Oil
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 1 tsp Vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla extract
  • Green Food Coloring
Frosting:
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese, softened
  • 4 tbsp Butter, softened
  • 3 cups Powdered Sugar
  • 3 tbsp Baileys Irish Cream

Cupcakes Cooling

Directions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Line a muffin pan with paper liners.
  3. In a bowl, beat the egg and whisk in the other wet ingredients until well combined.
  4. In another bowl, mix together all the dry ingredients.
  5. Combine the wet and dry mixtures and stir until just mixed.
  6. Add green food coloring until you achieve your desired shade.
  7. Fill the cupcake liners about 2/3 full with the batter.
  8. Bake for about 20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  9. Let the cupcakes cool on a wire rack.

Frosting Process

  1. In a bowl, whip together the softened cream cheese, butter, and Baileys until creamy.
  2. Gradually add the powdered sugar and mix until you reach your desired consistency.
  3. Transfer the frosting to a piping bag and frost the cooled cupcakes.
