Cadbury Chocolate Easter Chicks
Today, my kids and I had fun playing with one of my favorite Easter treats—the Cadbury cream egg. After melting some chocolate for another project, we had a bit leftover.
In no time, we were laughing and crafting with the melting chocolate, and these adorable chicks came to life!
Here’s what we used:
- Cadbury Cream Eggs (or any similarly-sized chocolate egg like caramel eggs)
- Orange Wilton melting chocolate
- White Wilton melting chocolate
- Brown Wilton melting chocolate
- Black (or any color) frosting for the eyes
- Wax paper
Start by melting several pieces of brown chocolate to use as your “glue.”
On a piece of wax paper, place a small dollop of brown chocolate on two orange circles, ensuring there’s enough of it to secure the egg in place. I used a small object to prop the egg until the chocolate set, which happened quickly.
From there, let your creativity shine, continuing to use the melted brown chocolate as your adhesive. Once everything is solid, it will lift off the wax paper easily.
