El Conquistador Tucson is a desert oasis with stunning views of the Pusch Ridge and a setting that is uniquely southwestern. It’s part of the Hilton Resort group, one of more than 585 hotels.
The Resort
This spacious resort on 80 acres of prime real estate includes the beautiful Pusch Ridge backdrop that adds to the feeling of privacy. In the other direction are the Santa Catalina Mountains. The spectacular setting is particularly conducive to sundowners and sunsets.
The uniquely Southwest experience focuses on activities, indigenous flora and fauna, and environmentally aware design and scaping. Cuisine sparkles with local ingredients that celebrate the flavors of the Sonoran Desert.
The property also has their own horse stable and a mini Western village available for private events. Several swimming pools are located throughout the property, with one reserved for adults only.
The Rooms
Every guest room is designed to reflect the desert oasis that surrounds you and capitalizes on balcony views overlooking the mountains or desert. But to really enjoy the property it’s best to go outside and walk the property at various times of the day. The colors change in the desert with the hour, and you’ll be amazed how alive the area feels.
I stayed in room #3412 with a view of the pool. A comfortable chaise with ottoman provided me with hours of leisure reading.
