Rudolph | Candy Cane Reindeer

Candy Cane Reindeer

Although Thanksgiving hasn’t arrived yet, I find myself getting excited for the holiday season starting the Monday before! One of my kids’ favorite characters from our beloved holiday stories is Rudolph. This adorable and easy craft gets my little ones bouncing in their seats, humming along to the song while they enjoy their snacks.

Ingredients

  • 24 small Candy Canes
  • 12 Hershey Kisses
  • 12 Red Candy Decorations (like Red Hots)
  • 24 Candy Eyes
  • ½ cup Dark Chocolate Candy Melting Chips
  • 1 White Candy Melting Chip

Candy Cane Reindeer Craft

Instructions

  1. Prepare a cutting board or cookie sheet by lining it with wax paper.
  2. In the microwave, melt the chocolate candy chips in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until fully melted.
  3. Pair two candy canes together and dip the straight ends into the melted chocolate, shaking off any excess.
  4. Set the candy canes on the wax paper, ensuring that the hooks face in opposite directions.
  5. Top each pair of candy canes with an unwrapped Hershey Kiss.
  6. Repeat the process for all remaining candy canes.
  7. Using a toothpick, apply a small amount of melted chocolate to attach the red candy as Rudolph’s nose.
  8. Also, use a toothpick to glue on the candy eyes.
  9. Place the white chocolate chip on the wax paper, and heat in the microwave for 15 seconds.
  10. Finally, use another toothpick to create a white mouth on each reindeer.
