Rudolph Peanut Butter Cookies

Decorative Peanut Butter Cookies

Peanut butter cookies are a beloved treat in our home, perfect any time of year.

This holiday season, we decided to give them a fun new twist.

They’re adorable enough to leave out for Santa—what do you think?

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Peanut Butter
  • 1/2 cup Butter
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 1/3 cup Flour
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 48 Red M&M’s
  • 96 Mini Chocolate Chips
  • Mini Twist Pretzels

Peanut Butter Cookie Preparation

Instructions

  1. Break pretzels into pieces for the antlers.
  2. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  3. Cream together peanut butter, butter, sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  4. Add egg and vanilla, then mix until smooth.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  6. Gradually blend the dry ingredients into the creamed mixture until fully incorporated.
  7. Roll the dough into 1/2-3/4 inch balls and place them on a cookie sheet, leaving space between them.

Baked Peanut Butter Cookies

  1. Sprinkle the cookies with sugar and gently create a small indentation slightly off-center in each cookie.
  2. Bake for 12-14 minutes.
  3. Place an M&M in the indentation of each cookie.
  4. Insert two mini chocolate chips (pointy end down) above the M&M to create eyes.
  5. Add two pretzel pieces for antlers.
  6. If the pretzels don’t stick, melt some chocolate chips in a bag for 30 seconds. Knead until soft, then pipe onto the cookie to act as glue.
