Red Hot Popcorn Recipe
Ingredients
- 6 cups plain popped popcorn
- ¼ cup water
- ½ cup red hot candies
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 250°F (120°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a small saucepan, combine the water and red hots. Heat until boiling, stirring frequently until the candies melt.
- Transfer the popcorn into a large, clean paper bag. Add half of the melted mixture and shake. Then pour in the rest and shake vigorously again.
- Spread the popcorn out onto the parchment-lined baking sheet. Be careful, as the sticky mixture will be extremely hot!
- Bake for 10 minutes, stir, and then bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until nearly dry. Package into festive bags for sharing!
